The following information should give you an idea of what to expect when engaging in a project with Web Presence.

Q: How does a project get started?

A: After an initial meeting and upon review of your project timeline, requirements and budget, Web Presence will deliver a Proposal with a cost estimate, project outline, and timeline. Acceptance or modification of the Proposal is followed by signing a Development Agreement which clearly explains fees, timeline and deliverables. We get to work immediately after signing this agreement.

Q: What happens if we are not sure about our website or marketing needs and do not have a requirements list?

A: Most clients do not have complete lists of website contents or detailed marketing strategy guidelines. We work with you to establish your purpose and the methodologies to cost effectively accomplish this. During an initial meeting we will create a list of materials that are needed to populate your website, or create your marketing kit. In addition to making lists of contents you need, we work with skilled writers, photographers and designers to create contents when necessary.

Q: How many Web Presence staff members will be assigned to my project?

A: Web Presence assigns 3 to 5 people per project team including an
account executive, graphic designer, and HTML programmer. Projects including database or other back-end programming will include one or more programmers. Marketing projects include one or more marketing staff. TV or radio production always includes our experienced producer.

Q: How will the communication and review process work?

A: Web Presence builds and maintains an online custom Client Project Site to facilitate the review and approval process. The site includes all prototype mock-ups of graphic designs, sample navigation and content mock-ups, and database mock-ups. Simply look in your special area online and you can see the status of your projects. We also use email extensively, and frequently will email pdf versions for review of marketing materials.

Q: What if our business is located in a different city than Web Presence?

A: Distance has not played a factor in client communication. Most communication on a web development project is conducted via email and phone. All mock-ups and deliverables are viewed in web format via a browser. Generally, Web Presence makes one to three on site visits during a two to three month project. Many of Web Presence's most satisfied clients are out of town such as James Devere in Sydney, Australia, Chateau Wally Films in Ojai, California, and The Wine News, Adelaide, Australia.

Q: How do we ensure that we get the end result we want for our website launch?

A: Web Presence excels at meeting client expectations during every phase of a project. Our client-centric approach guarantees that all final deliverables meet professional industry standards in craftsmanship and quality and shall be free of defects. Q: What are Web Presence's fees?

A: Our project estimates are based on time and materials. Sample project prices can be found on our Project Prices page. however most project bids are based on custom quotes.

Q: What is the payment and approval process?

A: Projects are completed in several phases with payments corresponding to the successful completion of specified milestones and contingent upon client satisfaction. An initial payment is required at the start of each project.

Q: What is the revision process and how many are included in the initial cost estimate?

A: Your fixed-fee project estimate will include two revision rounds after presentation of first mock-ups. All mock-ups and revisions will be posted on your client project site for review and approval from anywhere in the world.

Q: Will there be any extra fees incurred during the project not specified in the initial cost estimate?

A: Extra revisions, change-orders, or Web pages requested by Client beyond terms agreed to in the Agreement will be billed at the rate agreed. Web Presence will obtain permission from you before performing any additional billable work or incurring any additional expenses, beyond those set forth in the Agreement.

Q: How long will it take to complete my project?

A: Web Presence features one of the quickest turnaround times in the industry. From signing of Development Agreement, we average a 6 to 10 week turnaround time depending on website project complexity. Marketing campaign time-lines are established based on step-wise approaches to goals.
